Microsoft trying a deal with Red Hat Linux

After the success with Linspire, Xandros and Novell , Microsoft is trying to do a deal with Red Hat Linux:

“We’d love to do the same deal with Red Hat,” said Tom Robertson, general manager of corporate interoperability and standards at Microsoft. “We’re always open to talking with them”

But too bad the sentiment was not the same for RedHat Linux:

“We continue to believe that open source and the innovation it represents should not be subject to an unsubstantiated tax that lacks transparency,”

Amazon aquire several day ago dpreview.com an excelent site about digital photography:

Microsoft and Linspire

Linspire and Microsoft it made a deal this days:

Linspire will use all True Type Fonts, and codecs from Microsoft but they will set www.live.com as default search engine in all browsers what are come with Linspire and

This deal concludes at 2 things:

1.It seems Microsoft it starting to  care about it’s search engine

2. Linux is really a threat for Microsoft

I’m just curious about what will come in near future.
